The vector map of area consists of 2 layers: with polygons and with points.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

Maps were created on the base of generalized information about species distribution from published sourses (accuracy till regions).

The technique of drawing up of a map:

The area map was created on the base of literature data (Atlas, 1960; State list, 1994, 2004 etc.) and arable territory map for USSR (The Computer, 2003). Area covers territory of Middle Asia, Kazakhstan, Lower Volga, south Ukraine, Moldova, Northern Caucasus (Matveev, Rubtsov, 1985), and restricted by line of sum of active temperature 3000 degree Celsius (Bekseev, 1998). Places of sporadic distribution of species are marked by points. The consultation during of map creation was given by scientist of genetis resourses of vegetable and melon-growing cultures department of VIR, PhD I.V. Gashkova.
