Vector maps: Areas of major distribution of cherry-plum and industrial cultivation are represented by polygons. Territories with insignificant cultivation are represented by points.

Accuracy of the classifier:

Maps were created on the base of generalized information about species distribution from published sourses, taking into account arable territory for USSR.

Procedure of map composition:

The area map was created on the base of garden distribution map for USSR (Atlas., 1960), literature data (Trees and shrubs of the USSR, 1954; Eremin, 1969, Bakhteev, 1970; Kovalev, 1955; Luneva, 1985; Intensive..., 1989) using VIR and VIZR herbarium data. Northern border of area in European part of the countri goes through Ukraine and Chernozemnaya zone of Russian Federation. Area of industrial cultivation covers Caucasus, Middle Asia, Rostov, Crimea, Oddessa, Kherson regions and Moldova. Sporadic distribution of species is marked by points. Consultation about Cherry-plum area was made by specialist of Fruit department of VIR O.E. Gel'.
