Basic contents:

Vector map. Area of species distribution and zones of disease severity are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of classifier:

Within the disease area, the zone of severity was determined to be where disease development can reach 20-30% infested plants resulting in essential yield losses.

Method of map production:

Scientists were given maps with boundaries of Oblasts and arable lands. After reviewing historic literature, species distribution was hand drawn on maps. If data were on the Oblast-level, distribution is on the Oblast level. In some cases, Oblast.s are further refined by boundaries of the Arable Land Map (Koroljeva et al., 2003). Hand drawn maps were scanned, georeferenced and vectorized. The zone of distribution was determined based on the following sources regarding fungus distribution: Shestiperova & Polozova (1973), Ishkova (2002). Within this zone disease development does not reach epidemic levels of development and harm is minimal. The zone of severe disease harm was based on the work of Shestiperova & Polozova's (1973) which reports on significant disease distribution in the Northwest of the Russian Federation and in Byelorussia.
