Basic contents:

Vector map. Zones of distribution and harmfulness are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of classifier:

Area is divided into zones of strong infection (up to 50%) and moderate infection (up to 30%) according to published data.

Method of map production:

Published literature was reviewed, including Atlases, monographs and papers. Occurrence data were obtained from herbarium specimens, floras, monographs and papers. The zones differing in disease development were determined according to: (Motovilin, 2000); (Motovilin & Strigekozin, 2000); (Rassadina, 1973). Disease occurrence was reported by administrative regions (State register, 2002). Area of distribution was extended to all agroecological regions, based on the agroecological classification of administrative regions reported on disease. Area of rye is designated on the map by regions where the area of oat is more than 5 %. Due to this, the disease area falls outside the limits of crop area. Field observation by specified plant pathologists and climatic conditions favorable for disease development support distribution in areas where oat is insignificant. Data were then compiled through scanning and geo-referencing to develop a composite vector map. The biologist, together with the GIS specialist, drew a composite weed distribution area based on compiled data.
