Date of creation:

12.09.2007.

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of map:

It is created on information taken from the open published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.

Projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map consists of two thematic layers describing a zone of distribution of disease and a zone of high severity of bacteriosis on beet.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The area represents the disease distribution where the Tuberculosis of Beet has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high disease severity is determined in those regions where plants have been damaged by 20% or more.

Procedure of map drawing:

The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The disease distribution is shown on map in territories of the former USSR (the Yaroslavl Region, Krasnodar and Altay Territories), and also in Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine (Gorlenko, 1947, 1966; Galach'yan, 1958, 1961; Yashnova, 1960; Yagudin, Shklyar, 1979; Spaar et al., 1980; Bilai et al., 1988).
The zone of high severity includes Armenia where the defeat of roots reaches 17-21% (Galach'yan, 1958). Specification of configuration of borders of area and zone of the disease severity is executed on the maps describing areas of the greatest distribution of crops of sugar beet (Koroleva et al., 2003) on a background of area of cultivation of fodder beet (Terekhina, 2004).
