Date of creation:

14.03.2007.

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of map:

It is created on information taken from the open published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.

Projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map consists of two thematic layers describing a zone of distribution of bacteriosis and a zone of high severity of the disease on cauliflower.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The area represents the disease distribution where the Bacterial Leaf Spot of Cauliflower has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high disease severity is determined in those regions where epiphytotics arise sporadically, and more than 10% of plants may be damaged.

Method of map production:

The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The disease distribution is shown on map of territories of the former USSR, in regions of North-Western and Central areas of Nonchernozem zone, on Northern Caucasus (Krasnodar Territory) (Zhavoronkova, 1935; Vzorov, 1938; Izrailskii, 1960; Gerasimov & Osnytskaya, 1961; Gorlenko, 1947, 1966; Chumakov & Vladimirskaya, 1972; Yugudin & Shklyar, 1979; Shpaar et al., 1980; Bilay et al., 1988; Akhatov et al., 2002; Pavlushin, 2004), also in Ukraine (including Crimea) (Izrailskii, 1960; Sidorenko, 1963), Lithuania (Puipene, 1988), Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan (Vzorov, 1938). The zone of high disease severity is distinguished, including Leningrad Region, Ukraine and Lithuania (Zhavoronkova, 1935; Sidorenko, 1963; Puipene, 1988). Specification of configuration of borders of the disease area is executed on a map of distribution of the Cauliflower, suggested by Terekhina (2004).
