Date of creation:

22.02.2007.

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of map:

It is created on information taken from the open published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.

Projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map consists of two thematic layers describing a zone of distribution and a zone of high severity of disease on cabbage.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The area represents the disease distribution where the Vascular Bacteriosis of Cabbage has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high disease severity is determined in those regions where epiphytotics arise sporadically and 10% or more plants may be damaged.

Method of map production:

The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. Distribution of the disease is shown on the map in territories of the former USSR where this culture is growing; i.e., in the Russian Federation (Sal.nikova, 1957; Popov, 1958,1959; Anisimov, 1966; Goglenko, 1966; Avezdzhanova, Bushkova, 1968; Osnitskaya, 1969; Nikitenko, 1973; Cheremisina, 1976, 1980; Izrail.skii, Shklyar, 1979; Kiryukhina, 1980, 1982; Shpaar et al., 1980; Studentsov, Petrovskaya, 1981; Osadchuk, 1984; Dzhalilov, 1985, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1999; Kunichenko, 1985; Sukhorukova, 1985, 1990; Bilai et al., 1988; Tivari, 1989; Rogachev, 1991; Dzhalilov, Tivari, 1994; Starikov, 1995; Meget, Zhuk, 1998; Pavlyushin, 2004), and also in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Lithuania, and Ukraine (Ishpaikina, 1954a, 1954b; Avezdzhanova, Bushkova, 1968; Khalilova, 1969; Nitievskya, 1973; Giorgobiani N.S. et al, 1976; Meget, Zhuk, 1978; Kulikovskaya, 1981; Kunichenko, 1985; Puipene, 1988; Puipene, Grigalyunaite, 1988; Ivanyuk, Sil.vanivich, 1990; Sil.vanovich & Sil.vanovich, 1990; Sidlyarevich et al., 1998; Marchenko, 2005; Popov, 2005). The zone of high severity includes the Central, the Chernozhem and the Western Siberian zones of the Russian Federation, Krasnodar Territory, Volga Region, Primorskii Territory, and also Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine (Ishpaikina, 1954b; Sal.nikova, 1957; Avezdzhanova, Bushkova, 1968 Khalilova, 1969; Nitievskaya, 1973; Giorgobiani et al., 1976; Cheremisina, 1976, 1980; Meget, Zhuk, 1978; Izrail.skii, Shklyar, 1979; Kulikovskaya, 1981; Kiryukhina, 1982; Kunichenko, 1985; Sukhorukova, 1985, 1990; Ivanyuk, Sil.vanivich, 1990; Sil.vanovich & Sil.vanovich, 1990; Sidlyarevich et al., 1998; Marchenko, 2005; Popov, 2005). Specification of the area and disease severity zone borders configuration is executed according with the map of cabbage distribution, offered by Terekhina N.V. (2004).
