Vector map consists of three thematic layers describing a zone of distribution and zone of high disease severity on cucumber.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The area represents the disease distribution where the Angular Leaf Spot of Cucumber has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high disease severity is determined in those regions where epiphytotics arise sporadically and plants may be damaged by 15% or more.

Method of map production:

The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The disease distribution is shown on map in all territories of the former USSR where this culture is growing in the open and closed ground. It is widely distributed in Russian Federation (Vzorov 1938a, 1938b; Gorlenko, Voronkevich, 1946; Bushkova 1962, 1964; Nikitina 1963; Malenev, Babich, 1966; Minaeva, 1967, 1968; Osnitskaya, 1969,1971; Govorova, 1973; Litvinov, Nagaitsev 1973; Kvasnikov et al., 1974; Pekhtereva 1974; Litvinov, Pogorelov, 1978; Shpaar et al., 1980; Medvedeva 1981; Bilai et al., 1988; Akhatov et al., 2002; Pavlyushin, 2003), and also in the other CIS countries of (Oganesyan, 1962,1964, 1966; Labukhua, 1963; Kazenas, 1965; Dorohzkin, Sapogova, 1968; Osnitskaya, 1968; Galins.ka, 1969; Tsilosani et al., 1969; Eliashvili, 1970, 1971; Rudenko, 1970; Timchenko, 1973a, 1973b, 1974; Baltrushaitene, 1974; Pekhtereva, 1974; Dzhaimurzina, 1975, 1979; Rudenko,Golub, 1975; Rudenko et al., 1978; Avagimov, Panteleev, 1984; Kitsko et al., 1989; Sil.vanovich, 1990, 1991; Sil.vanovich, Sil.vanovich, 1990). The zone of high severity includes the Republic of Mordovia, Chita, Kaliningrad Regions, the Central, Central Black Earth, Western .Siberian, and Far East zones, and also Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia, and Kazakhstan (Bushkova, 1962, 1964; Oganesyan, 1962,1964, 1966; Malenev, Babich, 1966; Minaeva, 1967,1968; Dorohzkin, Sapogova, 1968; Tsilosani et al., 1969; Eliashvili, 1970, 1971; Rudenko, 1970; Litvinov, Nagaitsev 1973; Litvinov, Pogorelov, 1978; Dzhaimurzina, 1975, 1979; Kitsko et al., 1989; Pavlyushin, 2003). Specification of a configuration of borders of the disease area and zone of severity is executed on a map of distribution of the cucumber, proposed by N.V. Terekhina (2004) and arable lands proposed by I.E.Koroleva (2003).
