Accuracy of map:

It is created on information taken from the open published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map consists of two thematic layers describing zones of the disease distribution and high severity of the bacteriosis on peas.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The area represents the disease distribution, where the Bacterial Blight of Peas has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high severity is determined in those regions where the infecting agent causes yield losses above 25-35% of economic threshold of severity.

Method of map production:

The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. Wide distribution of the disease is shown on the map in all territories of the former USSR, i.e., in Leningrad, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Kirov, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov, Samara, and others Regions of the central European part of Russia; in Krasnodar, Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories, in Republic of Altai, in Tyva (Bondartseva-Monteverde & Vasilevskii, 1937; Vzorov, 1938; Naumov & Shchegoleva, 1948; Bel'tyukova, 1958; Gerasimov & Osnitskaya, 1961; Khaleeva, 1963; Cheremisinov & Khizhnyak, 1964; Khaleeva & Tikhonov, 1964; Bushkova, 1966; Gorlenko, 1966; Shpaar et al., 1980; Bilai et al., 1988); and also in Belarus (Bondartseva-Monteverde & Vasilevskii, 1937), Kazakhstan (Naumov & Shchegoleva, 1948; Vlasov et al., 1962; Khaleeva, 1963; Akhmedov, 1971), Armenia (Teterevnikova-Babayan, 1963; Papoyan, 1964, 1966), Moldova (Rozhkovan, 1980,1986), Ukraine (Bondartseva-Monteverde & Vasilevskii, 1937; Bel'tyukova, 1958; Vlasov et al., 1962; Dubinevich, 1964; Spivak et al., 1973). The zone of high severity includes Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Moldova within the limits of bacteriosis area, where this disease arises sporadically at about 25-35% of attacked plants of peas (Khaleeva, 1963; Papoyan, 1964, 1966; Rozhkovan, 1980,1986). Specification of the area and disease severity zone borders configuration is executed according with the map of pea distribution, proposed by I.E. Koroleva et al. (2003).
