Scale:

Accuracy of map:

It is created on information taken from the open published literature and map of scale 1: 33 000 000.

Projection:

" Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR ", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic contents:

The vector map has two layers, where distribution area and zones of disease severity are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

Two severity zones of the Verticillium Wilt are determined in the area of cotton. In the zone of moderate severity up to 30% of plants can be damaged, and 60% or more in the zone of high severity.

Method of map production:

Published materials are used for map drawing (Voitenok, 1970; Runov et al., 1970; Gubanov, 1972; Dotsenko, 1972; Yakutkin, 1973; Popov, 1975). The zone of moderate severity includes Turkmenistan exept northern Dashowuz Province, southern Qashqadaryo Province of Uzbekistan, Khatlon and Nagorno-Badahshan Regions of Tajikistan. The zone of high severity embraces Uzbekistan, Soghd Region of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries of the former USSR where cotton is cultivated. Specification of the distribution area is made on vector map of the cotton greatest distribution in the former USSR according to I.E. Koroleva et al. (2003).
