Basic contents:

Vector map having one layer, where the area of sunflower and zone of Basal Stem Rot severity are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

In the sunflower area within the former USSR, the zone of Basal Stem Rot severity is determined where climatic conditions favor manifestation of the disease and where persistence of some foci was partly proved.

Method of map production:

Published materials are used (Yakutkin, 2005). The disease area includes Krasnodar Territory of Russia, where it is evidently shown, being confirmed by materials of the author. In addition, southern parts of Ukraine and Moldova are included in the area, where its manifestation may be provoked by high temperatures and irrigation. Specification of the Basal Stem Rot area is carried out on vector map of regions of the sunflower greatest distribution according to I.E. Koroleva et al. (2003).
