Basic contents:

Vector map having three layers where the area of sunflower and zones of severity of Verticillium Wilt are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

In the limits of sunflower area, two zones of severity of Verticillium wilt are determined. The first is the zone of low severity, where crop losses reach 10% on the average. It includes Central Black Soil Zone, some regions of the Middle Volga Basin region, Ural, Western and Eastern Siberia, the Far East of Russia and central and northern provinces of Ukraine. The second is the zone of moderate severity, where crop losses reach 25%. It includes the Northern Caucasus, Volga Basin region (Saratov and Volgograd Regions) of Russia, Kazakhstan, southern provinces of Ukraine and Moldova.

Procedure of map drawing:

Published materials are used for map drawing (Tselle, 1932; Tikhonov, 1975; Kukin, 1982; Yakutkin, 2001). The registration and vectoring of raster map are carried out by standard means of GIS-technologies.
