Authors:

Object specialists A.M. Lazarev,
GIS-specialist M.I. Saulich.

Date of creation:

1.03.2007.

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of map:

It is created on information taken from the open published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.

Projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map consists of two thematic layers describing a zone of distribution of bacteriosis and zone of high severity of the disease on potato.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The zone of high severity of this disease is determined in those regions where amount of infecteded by bacteriosis plants reaches 5% or more.

Method of map production:

The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The disease is widely distributed in all territories of the former USSR, where this culture is growing; i.e., in the Russian Federation (Izrail.skii, 1960; Gorlenko, 1966; Murzakova, 1966; Avezdzhanova, Bushkova, 1968; Shneider, 1971; Volovik et al., 1976; Gerasimova, 1976, 1977; Kapustin, 1977; Shpaar et al., 1980; Pereverzev, 1989, 1990; Trofimets et al., 1990; Pavlyushin & Makarov, 1999; Pavlyushin, 2001), and also in Belarus, Latvia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, and Ukraine (Kazenas, 1954; Yanovich, 1966, 1971; Chumaevskaya, Gorodiliva, 1974; Bel.skaya et al., 1976; Oganesyan et al., 1976; Derzhipil.skii, 1980; Davidchik, 1987; Davidchik & Khodos, 1990; Ismailov, 1990; Polozhenets, 1990; Polozhenets & Kuchko, 1990; Sereda, 1993; Sidlyarovich et al., 1998; Bokshan et al., 2005). The zone of high severity includes Moscow Region and Belarus (Murzakova, 1966; Yanovich, 1966, 1971; Pavlyushin & Makarov, 1999). Specification of configuration of borders of the disease area is executed on a map of distribution of potato, proposed by Koroleva I.E. et al. (2003).
