Date of creation:

03.05.2007.

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of map:

It is created on information taken from the open published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.

Projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map consists of two thematic layers describing a zone of distribution and a zone of high severity of the disease on potato.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The area represents the disease distribution where it has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high disease severity is determined in those regions where plants may be sporadically damaged by 2% and more.

Method of map production:

The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The disease distribution is shown on map of the former USSR territory; i.e., in Leningrad, Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Nizhnii Novgorod Regions, in Krasnodar Territory, Western and Eastern Siberia, in the Primorskii Territory (Shklyar, 1984; Avezdzhanova, 1985; Bermicheva et al., 1985; Popkova & Schneider, 1985; Schneider & Volovok, 1985; Schneider et al. 1985; Kiryukhina, 1986; Kuzmichev, 1994; Matveeva, 1994; Vasil.eva, 1998; Vasyutin et al., 2002; Pavlyushin, 1999; Schneider & Sudarikova, 2005; Sudarikova, 2005), and also in Belarus, Latvia, and Ukraine (Zagurskaya & Sereda, 1989; Davidchik & Khodos, 1990; Muras et al., 1990; Matveeva, 1994; Ukrainets & Mel.nik, 2005). The zone of high severity includes Moscow, Voronezh, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad Regions, Krasnodar Territory, Belarus (Zagurskaya & Sereda, 1989; Matveeva, 1994; Vasil.eva, 1998; Pavlyushin, 1999).
