Accuracy of the classifier:

Area is subdivided into zones of moderate and low disease severity. In 1980 in the first zone disease development during milk-wax ripeness on a susceptible cultivar reached 43,8 % (Zdrazhevskaya S.D.,1985; Zdrazhevskaya S.D., Shugurov I.M.,1991) whereas at strong disease development of illness the area of the struck leaf surface can reach 100 % (Singh, 2003). In the second zone the development was much weaker.

Procedure of map drawing:

The zones of distribution and severity are allocated by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The general information on life cycle of the pathogen and on host-plants are taken from the publications by Wiese (1977) , Khasanov (1992), Peresypkin (1981). Zones of disease severity are drawn after information taken from the papers by Bhandari et al. (2002); Khasanov (1988); Rassadina (1972); Rudakov et al., 1989; Sharma et al., 2002; Tupenevich (1970); Tupenevich & Nesterov (1977), Zdrazhevskaya (1985); Zdrazhevskaya & Shugurov (1991). The blank map with image of the disease distribution zone has been scanned. Registration and vectoring of its raster copy have been fulfilled by standard facilities of GIS-tecnologies.
