Basic content:

Vector map, which consists of 3 thematic layers. Area of distribution and 2 zones of damage are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

Within the area of distribution, the zones of low and moderate pest damage is established according to the extent of its damage to stone-fruit plantations. In the zone of moderate damage, harmfulness of C. tenebrionis is about 4 points under the 5-point scale of harmfulness, in the zone of low damage it is 2 points (Kopaneva et al., 1984).

Procedure of map drawing:

Data from the open publications are used for allocation of area and zones of pest damage. It inhabits the southern European part of the USSR, including Moldova, seaside territories (at the Black Sea and Sea of Azov) of Ukraine (Rikhter, 1952; Vasil'ev & Lifshits, 1958), Rostov, Volgograd, Saratov, Astrakhan, Orenburg Regions, Stavropol Territory, and the whole Caucasus (Rikhter, 1944; 1952), the North-West of Kazakhstan (Matesova, 1962), the South of Turkmenistan (Rikhter, 1952). The zone of low damage comprises territory of apricot growing in arid steppe zone of Crimea, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Rostov and Volgograd Regions (Dobrovolskii, 1951; Panshin, 1952). The zone of moderate damage comprises arid territories of Armenia, Azerbaijan and East Georgia (Rikhter, 1952; Arakelyan, 1954; Batiashvili, 1959; Samedov, 1963; Kopaneva et al., 1984).
