Date of creation:

15.01.2007.

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of the map:

It is created on materials of the map with scale 1:33 000 000, on the basis of information taken from literature.

Projection:

.Alber.s Equal Conica for the USSR., 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map, which consists of 2 thematic layers. Area of distribution and zone of damage are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

Within the area of distribution the zone of low damage is established according to the extent of damage to vine. In the zone of low damage, harmfulness of Colomerus vitis is not more than 2 points on the 5-points scale of harmfulness (Polyakov et al., 1984).

Method of map production:

Data from the open publications are used for allocation of area and zone of pest damage. In the former USSR, the area includes all viticulture territories in Moldova (Seryi & Malchenkova, 1968; Malchenkova, 1975), Ukraine (Shevchenko, 1964; Vasil'ev, 1973), South Russia (Vilnitskaya, 1972), Caucasus (Chubinishvili, 1968; Khalilova, 1979; Bagdasaryan, 1981), Middle Asia (Shevchenko, 1964; Malchenkova, 1975; Livshits & Mitrofanov, 1984.), South and Southeast of Kazakhstan (Melnikova & Andreeva, 1973.). The zone of low damage includes most of viticulture territories in Moldova (Prints, 1962; Seryi & Malchenkova, 1968), Ukraine (Prints, 1962; Vasil'ev, 1973), South Russia (Vilnitskaya, 1972), Georgia (Chubinishvili, 1968), Azerbaijan (Khalilova, 1979), Armenia (Bagdasaryan, 1981), Middle Asia and South of Kazakhstan (Melnikova & Andreeva, 1973; Polyakov et al., 1984). A correction of the low pest damage zone has been carried out according to the vector map of Koroleva et al. (2003) characterizing the largest regions of grape distribution.
