Accuracy of map:

Map was created using maps of natural scale 1:33,000,000.

Projection:

.Alber's Equal Area Conic for USSR., 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic contents:

Vector map. Zones of distribution and damage are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of classifier:

Insect distribution area was divided into 2 zones, the zone of local distribution and inconstant harmfulness (up to 50% of potato plantations infested), and the zone of overall distribution and constant harmfulness (50-100% of potato and eggplant plantations infested).

Mapping procedure:

Zones of distribution and harm were identified following an analysis of published materials. Maps from Ushatinskaya (1981, p.23) and Vilkova & Fasulati (2001) were used as the basis for the map of L. decemlineata distribution, which was then corrected following an analysis of additional publications (Zhunisbaeva, 1990; Anon., 1991; Banshchikov, Prokof.ev, 1998; Glyoz, Cherkashin, 2002; Fasulati, 2002a, 2002b, 2004; Vilkova et al., 2004). Two damage zones for L. decemlineata were differentiated in accordance with Fasulati.s publications (2002a, 2002b, 2004) and using data from some Regional Plant Protection Stations.
