Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of the map:

It is created on materials of the map with scale 1:33 000 000 on the basis of information taken from literature.

Projection:

.Alber.s Equal Conica for the USSR., 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic content:

Vector map, which consists of 2 thematic layers. Area of distribution and zone of damage are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

Within the area of distribution, the zone of low damage is established according to the extent of damage to fruiters. X. dispar damages sporadically and usually insignificantly.

Method of map production:

Data from the open publications are used for allocation of area and zone of pest damage. In the former USSR, the species is distributed in the European part (Krivolutskaya, 1965) northward to about forest-tundra (Kryzhanovskii, 1974), including Murmansk (Voolma et al., 2004) and Leningrad Regions (Mandelshtam & Popovichev, 2000; Mandelshtam, 2001), Karelia (Yakovlev et al., 1986), Baltic States (Silfverberg, 1992; Voolma et al., 2004), the whole Caucasus (Stark, 1952; Samedov, 1963; Petrov, 2005), Volga region (Burdaev, 2003), the South of Western Siberia including Altai (Kiselyeva, 1946; Stark, 1952; Prokof.ev, 1987; Krivolutskaya, 1996), and all Kazakhstan (Kostin, 1960; 1973). The zone of low damage comprises the territory of fruit growing in arid steppe zone of the European part and in the Caucasus (Rudnev & Vasechko, 1974; Petrov, 2005).
