Basic contents:

The map is a vector file consisting of 1 basic and 2 subject layers. The species range is represented by polygons and dots.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

The dots represent information on the species localities from data of LE herbarium (1) and published sources (2), the polygons - generalized information on the species distribution from published sources.

Method of the map construction:

The data from the herbarium materials of LE, published maps of the range (Grossheim, 1952), and published data (Fedorov, Tzvelev, 1987; Shishkin, 1946; Polozhij, Malyshev, 1994; Malyshev, Peshkova, 1979) were used for constructing the range of Astragalus falcatus. The range consists of two polygons and dots. The first polygon is situated in the Caucasus, the second is confined to the Volga-Kama region, Urals and West Siberia. The species may also sporadically occur in the central and southern belts of Russia.
