Scale:

1:20,000,000.

Accuracy of map:

Map was created using data from herbarium specimens and maps of scale 1:10,000,000-80,000,000.

The projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic contents:

Map is a vector file consisting of a polygon and points. Locations of species are represented by points; area of possible distribution of species is represented by a polygon.

Accuracy of qualifier:

Light-colored points represent locations referenced in published sources. Dark-colored points represent locations of species from which herbarium samples were taken (N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Industry, V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute, Moscow State University). Polygon is based on generalized information from published sources, herbarium specimens, political boundaries and ecological descriptions.

Method of map construction:

Location and area of distribution of the species is based on published maps and an analysis of herbarium materials at the V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute, N.I. Vavilov Research Institute of Plant Industry and Moscow State University. Literature consulted includes Grossgheim (1945), Mosel (1965), Hulten & Fries (1986), Bush (1939), Sokolov (1977), and Tsvelev (2000).
