Date of creation:

4.06.2004.

Scale:

1:20,000,000.

Exactness of map:

Map was created using data from herbarium specimens and maps of scale 1:25,000,000-1:85,000,000.

The projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic contents:

Map is a vector file consisting of polygons and points. Locations of species are represented by points; areas of possible distribution of species are represented by polygons.

Accuracy of classifier:

Points represent locations of the species referenced in published sources and locations from which herbarium specimens were taken. Polygons are based on generalized information from published sources and herbarium specimens.

Method of map production:

The following sources were used to determine the distribution area: N.I. Vavilov Institute (1992), Sokolov et al. (1980), Koropachinskiy (2002), and Kharkevich (1996). The northern and northeastern borders of the distribution area were determined using Kharkevich (1996) and Sokolov et al. (1980). The three most western locations of the species were not included in the final polygon because supplementary field investigations are needed to confirm distribution of the species in this territory. The southern border of the distribution area passes through the national border of the former USSR.
