Date of creation:

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Exactness of the map:

Map is based on data from herbarium specimans and on maps having the following scale 1:17 000 000 - 1:75 000 000.

The projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0

Basic contents:

Map is a vector file consisting of polygons and points. Locations of species are represented by points, areas of possible distribution of species are represented by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

Points represent locations of the species referenced in literature sources and from herbarium specimens. Polygons are based on generalized information from literature sources and herbarium specimens.

Method of map production:

Species location data were obtained from a database of site coordinates of the species in the INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM " Wild-growing relatives of cultural plants of Russia " (NTC "Informregistr" № 0229905883, 1999), from maps published by V.V.Busik for "Flora of the Central Siberia" (1979), by P.B.Klimov for "Vascular plants of the Soviet Far East" (1991), by V.I.Kurbatsky for "Flora of Siberia"(1988) and by A.P.Isaykina and G.I.Seryh for "Areas of distribution of medicinal plants and their relatives in the USSR" (1990),G.Staudt (2003).
The species has a disjunctive area.In Russian the species is presented with three polygons. Mainly borders of the same northern polygon were built on the basis of generalization of all useful data. North-western border was widened on the basis of information from herbarium specimens Herbarium N.I. Vavilov All Russian Institute of Plant Industry (WIR) (St.-Petersburg, Russia), The Prof. P.N.Krylov Herbarium of the Tomsk V.V.Kuybyshev University (TK), Institute of biology and soil science FEP RAS (Vladivostok, Russia) and Komarov Botanical Institute (LE) (St.-Petersburg). This information is kept in the database IRS. Southern border was corrected according to G.Staudt (2003) and information from herbarium specimens.
Northern border of Siberian-Far East polygon was created according to P.B.Klimov (1996), V.I.Kurbatsky (1988),and A.P.Isaykina, G.I.Seryh (1990). Southern and western borders of polygon were created by A.P.Isaykina, G.I.Seryh (1990). Eastern border of this polygon was drawn according to P.B.Klimov (1996), G Staudt (2003) and was corrected on the basis of information from herbarium specimens.
In Primorski Krai northern border of area was widened on the basis of information from herbarium specimens. This information is kept in the database IRS.North-eastern border was created by P.B.Klimov (1996) and information from herbarium specimens. Several points of this species were not included in borders of polygon because they are demanded of additional study.
