Scale:

1:20,000,000.

Accuracy of map:

Map was created using herbarium specimens and maps of scale 1:17,000,000-1:50,000,000.

The projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic contents:

Map is a vector file consisting of polygons and points. Locations of the species are represented by points, while the areas of possible distribution of the species are represented by polygons.

Accuracy of qualifier:

Points represent locations of the species referenced in published sources. Polygons are based on generalized information from published sources.

Method of map construction:

Species location data were obtained from Plehanova et al (1992) and published maps in Kachura (1988), Busik (1979), Malyshev (1972), and Hulten & Fries (1986). There are differing opinions on the volume and rank of the taxa. We agree with Plehanova et al (1992) and consider the taxa an independent species distributed in Daurija, pools at the top inflows of the Amur (rivers Onon, Ingodda, Shilka, Argun), and in headwaters of the river Zeya. In the north, the species distribution area is bordered by the Stanovoj Mountains. The southern border coincides with the frontier. The northern border was mapped in accordance with Malyshev (1972) and Plehanova et al (1992). The eastern border was mapped using Plehanova et al (1992). The western border was mapped using Malyshev & Peshkova (1979) and Plehanova et al (1992).
