Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of the map:

The map is based on data of 1:20 000 000, 1:25 000 000 scale maps, corrected according to herbarium materials.

Projection:

"Albers Equal-Area Conic Projection for USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0

Basic contents:

The map is a vector file consisting of a polygon and dots. Localities of the species are represented by dots, the area of possible species distribution is represented by the polygon.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

Dark dots represent information on the species localities from herbarium collections of LE and WIR, the rest (light) dots represent data from published sources.

Method of the map construction:

We follow the view on the species distribution of Minjaev and Ulle (1987). The species range on the studied area tends toward the western border of the former USSR and consists of a polygon, which embraces the species localities in the eastern part of its general natural range. In the northern part of the range, the species occurs in Kaliningrad Region and Baltic States (Lithuania, southern Latvia), in the southern part in Carpathian mountains and Western Dnieper area. The eastern part of the range includes Brest Region and the Upper Dnieper. The western border of the polygon coincides with the former state border of the USSR. Data of LE and WIR Herbaria, as well as published data (Shishkin, 1945, Minjaev, Ulle, 1987; Gavrilova, Sulcs, 1999) and published maps of the range (Hulten, Fries, 1986) were used as material for the range construction.
