Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of the map:

The map is based on data of 1:20 000 000, 1:25 000 000 scale maps, corrected according to herbarium materials.

Projection:

"Albers Equal-Area Conic Projection for USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0

Basic contents:

The map is a vector file consisting of polygons and dots. Localities of the species are represented by the dots, the area of species distribution is represented by the polygons.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

Dark dots represent information on the species localities from herbarium collections of LE and WIR.

Method of the map construction:

The European species, distributed within the studied area in the European part of the former USSR, in the Caucasus (Ciscaucasia) and partly in West Siberia. The range is represented by 3 polygons, European, West Siberian and Ciscaucasian. The species distribution in the south is restricted by the zone of dry steppes, in the north by the zone of northern taiga, in the east by the Ural mountains. The western border of the European polygon coincides with the former state border of the USSR. The Caucasian and West Siberian polygon are drawn according to generalized factual data on the species distribution (LE and WIR Herbaria; Borodina, 1980; Kharkevich, 1989; Krasnoborov, Malyshev, 1996).
