Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of the map:

The map is based on data of 1:13 000 000, 1:80 000 000 scale maps, specified according to herbarium materials.

Projection:

Basic contents:

The map is a vector file consisting of 1 basic and 2 subject layers. The species range is represented by polygons and dots.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

The dots represent information on the species localities: 1 - reliable data from herbarium and published sources; polygons (1) - generalized information on the species distribution from published sources and herbarium specimens.

Method of the map construction:

The data from the herbarium materials of LE, published maps of the species distribution (Grossheim, 1952; Hulten, Fries, 1986), and published data (Bobrov, 1945, 1987) were used for constructing the range of Trifolium campestre. Our view on the species distribution in Russia and adjacent states within the three polygons agrees with the concept of the species distribution of Hulten and Fries (1986). The species range presented here consists of five polygons and dots. The first polygon is situated on the East European Plain, the second one in the Caucasus, the third in southwestern Kotet-Dagh, the fourth one corresponds to southwestern Tadjikistan, the fifth is situated in the Far East. The species distribution in Northwestern Russia is point and sporadic.
