Basic contents:

The map is a vector file consisting of 1 basic and 2 subject layers. The species range is represented by polygons and dots.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

The dots represent information on the species localities: 1 - reliable data from herbarium and published sources; the polygons (1) - generalized information on the species distribution from published sources and herbarium specimens.

Method of the map construction:

The data from the herbarium materials of LE, published data (Bobrov, 1945, 1987; Roskov et al., 2005), published maps of the species range (Meusel et al., 1965; Hulten, Fries, 1986) and of the range parts (Grossheim, 1952; Polozhij, Malyshev, 1994), were used for constructing the range of Trifolium spadiceum. Our view on the species distribution in Russia and adjacent states mainly agrees with the treatment of the species distribution by Meusel et al. (1965) and Hulten, Fries (1986). The range consists of two polygons and dots. The larger polygon embraces the European part of the former USSR (except for its southern part) and Urals. The second polygon covers the Caucasus. Dots beyond the polygon borders represent specific localities of the species.
