Accuracy of a map:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0

Basic content:

Map is a vector fail consisting of polygon and points. Locations of species are represented by points, area of possible distribution of species are represented by polygon.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

Points are locations of species that were reported from herbarium samples. Polygon is based on generalized information from literature sources, herbarium specimans, political boundaries and ecological description.

Method of map construction:

The area of the species is constructed on the basis of the factual data of herbaria sheet materials (herbarium of Komarov Botanical Institute) and the published maps of the area of species (Grossheim, 1962, Svjazeva, 1986; Moesel, 1965). In frame of the investigated territory the species is dated for southern areas of the European part, Caucasia and an extreme southwest of Central Asia. The area has disjunctive character and consists of three ranges: European, Caucasian and Asian. The European range extend in longitude direction, in the West it is limited to territory of Moldova, in the east - to Crimea. The Caucasian range covers practically all territory of Caucasia, from Black up to Caspian Sea. The Middle Asian range is dated for Kopet-Dagh mountain range. Southern borders of all ranges are limited to frontier of the former USSR.
