Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of a map:

Map is based on data from herbarium specimans, on literature sources and on maps having the scale 1:20 000 000.

The projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0

Basic contents:

Map is a vector file consisting of polygons and points. Locations of species are represented by points, areas of possible distribution of species are represented by polygons.

Accuracy of the qualifier:

Points represent locations of the species referenced in literature sources and from herbarium specimens. Polygons are based on generalized information from literature sources and herbarium specimens.

Method of map contruction:

The data on distribution of the species were obtained from database of site coordinates of the species, in the Information Retrieval System "Wild-growing relatives of cultural plants of Russia" (NTC "Informregistr" #0229905883), published maps of N.N.Katchura (1985) and literary data ("Flora of Siberia. Poaceae", 1990).
The basic part of species area is dated for territory of southeast Asia, Eastern Siberia, Japan and China. Sites of species in territory of Europe represent either sites of cultivated plants or secondary habitats of cultivated plants running to wild habitats. Within the limits of the former USSR the species is distributed in the European part of the USSR (as introduced plant) and in Eastern Siberia (Amur river basin). The area consists of two ranges including sites of species in Transbaikalia (a few points) and in Amur river Basin within the limits of Primorsky and Ussurijsky territories. The points which are taking place in the European part of the former USSR, not included in borders of contours of ranges, because they represent individual, invasive sites of species which are taking place outside borders of a natural area.
