Basic content:

Vector map. Area of distribution is shown by polygon (main distribution) and by dots (sporadic distribution).

Accuracy of the classifier:

Areas of main and sporadic distribution are shown.

Method of map production:

The area of distribution is established according to the analysis of the open published maps and literature. A map compiled by Hulten E. & Fries M. (1986) is taken as a prototype. Distribution of A. podagraria in the European part of the USSR is also supported by the literature data (Fedchenko, 1931; Taliev, 1935; Geideman, 1954; Maevskii, 1954; Tolmachev, 1962, 1977; Shishkin, 1961; Minyaev et al., 1981; Ul.yanova, 1998; Shlyakova, 1982a, b; Tsvelev, 2000; Glazkova, 2001; Zernov, 2002; Gubanov et al., 2004). Northern border of the area in the European part is specified after Shmidt V.M. (2005). Eastern border of its area is specified after the references (Malyshev & Peshkova, 1979; Antipova, 2003). Distribution of the species in the Caucasus is confirmed by A.A.Grossgeim (1949). Places of A. podagraria sporadic distribution are specified after the literature data (Hulten & Fries, 1986; Fedchenko, 1931; Tolmachev, 1962; Malyshev & Peshkova, 1979; Glazkova, 2001; Shmidt, 2005). The zone of weediness is not shown on the map as the weed greatly populates mainly small (individual) gardens and kitchen gardens.
