Data of creation:

14.01.2004

Scale:

1:20 000 000.

Accuracy of the map:

It is created on materials of maps of natural scale 1:10 000 000-1:80 000 000 and on literature data.

Projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic on the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0

Basic contents:

Vector map. Area of distribution is shown by polygons (basic distribution) and by points (sporadic distribution). Zone of weedness is shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier:

The area is divided into areas of basic distribution, sporadic distribution, and zone of weedness.

Procedure of map drawing:

The area and harmfulness zones of were drawn on a blank map according to the analysis of the open-published maps and literature. A map from the atlas "Distribution of main weed plant species" (1934) was used as a prototype. Zone of distribution was corrected according to published maps of separate area parts (Grossgeim, 1939; Flora of Central Siberia, 1979). Floristic maps and text information on distribution of Echinochloa crusgalli (Flora of the USSR, 1934; Flora of the European part of the USSR, 1974; Flora of Kazakhstan, 1966) were used as a basis for primary maps used also for correction of the distribution zone. The information on distribution in some Regions and on harmfullness was taken from published sources listed below . The northern border of the area was specified after herbariums of the Botanical Institute RAS and the All-Russian Institute of Plant Protection RAAS along with listed below coordinates of some geographical points mentioned in literature as localities for Echinochloa crusgalli. Borders are adjusted with the borders of arable lands and mountainous and foot-hill steppes.
